Join the Conversation: Free Community Death Café at Pickens County Library

October 16, 2023 (Jasper, GA) -- Are you curious about death and dying? Join the conversation at the free community Death Café at Pickens County Public Library on Thursday, Nov. 9, 2023, from 6-7:30 p.m.

The Death Café was born in England in 2011, “to increase awareness of death with a view to helping people make the most of their (finite) lives.” Since then, Death Cafés have become a worldwide movement where people, often strangers, gather to eat cake, drink tea, and discuss death, dying, and facing our own mortality.

The Purple Priestess' Katina Z. Jones will host this free community Death Café at Pickens County Public Library. This is an opportunity to come together in a safe and supportive environment to explore our thoughts and feelings about death and dying. It is not a grief support group, but rather a place to discuss death in a respectful and open manner.

You will also have the opportunity to ask questions and gain insight into the experiences of others.

This is a unique opportunity to come together and explore a sensitive topic in a safe and supportive environment. Refreshments will be served and space is limited, so please RSVP to the host via email: katina@thepurplepriestess.com/events.

Don’t miss out on this chance to join the conversation and explore the topic of death and dying. We look forward to seeing you.
